Buyer protection

A published standard you can independently challenge.

The guarantee creates a documented path for an eligible purity dispute: compare the product’s published analysis with a qualifying independent re-test and submit the complete evidence within 30 days of delivery.

Starting point

The benchmark is the published analysis

Begin with the Certificate of Analysis associated with the product. Record the compound, reported quantity, analytical method, purity result, test date, task number, and verification key where available.

The result applies to the referenced product analysis. It is not a claim that every batch or every individual vial was separately tested.

Evidence

An independent re-test must be comparable

A qualifying report must come from an accredited independent laboratory and use HPLC or an equivalent validated analytical method. Keep the complete report, invoice, order number, and product information together.

A result for a different compound, an incomplete screenshot, or a document without enough information to identify the submission cannot establish a comparable result.

Timing

The claim window is measured from delivery

Complete evidence must be received within 30 calendar days of recorded delivery. The claim is reviewed against the product, referenced analysis, laboratory method, reported result, and delivery record.

Sending an initial message does not replace the evidence requirement. Submit the complete report and supporting order information as early as possible.

What is included

Coverage has defined limits

An approved qualifying claim covers the purchase price of the affected product. It does not cover independent testing fees, shipping charges, handling or storage after delivery, incomplete documentation, or reports from an unaccredited provider.

Research compounds cannot be returned to inventory after dispatch because custody and storage conditions can no longer be verified.

Damaged or incorrect orders

Transit issues follow a separate path

Damage, leakage, missing items, or an incorrect parcel must be reported within 24 hours of delivery. Keep the outer parcel, shipping label, internal packaging, and affected item, and provide clear photographs.

Approved transit claims are resolved by replacement rather than monetary refund. Orders may be cancelled only before payment verification.

Claim preparation

Build a complete evidence file

Keep the Origen order number, recorded delivery date, product label, full independent laboratory report, and the laboratory invoice. The submitted report should identify the tested material clearly enough to connect it to the affected product and should disclose the method and result rather than only a pass-or-fail statement.

Send original or legible full-resolution documents. Cropped images, rewritten summaries, social-media messages, and unsupported conclusions cannot replace the laboratory record. Origen may request clarification needed to compare the result fairly with the published benchmark.

After delivery

Why chain of custody matters

Once a research product has been delivered, Origen cannot independently observe how it was stored, handled, transferred, or prepared for submission. That is why the policy requires an independent laboratory record and does not offer a general return-to-stock process.

Researchers should document receipt and subsequent handling in their own records. This does not expand the guarantee, but it helps preserve a coherent account if an analytical result is later disputed.

Review

How an eligible claim is evaluated

The review compares the ordered product, referenced Origen analysis, independent report, method, stated result, delivery record, and submission date. Eligibility depends on the complete policy, not on a single field considered alone.

If the evidence establishes a qualifying purity result below the published benchmark and all requirements are met, coverage is limited to the purchase price of the affected product. Statutory rights that cannot lawfully be excluded remain unaffected.

Questions, answered

Frequently asked questions.

01What does the 30-day purity guarantee cover?+
It covers the purchase price of an affected eligible product when a qualifying independent analytical report documents purity below the result published in the referenced Origen product certificate and complete evidence is received within 30 days of recorded delivery.
02Does the guarantee cover laboratory fees?+
No. Independent laboratory fees, shipping charges, and other testing costs are not covered under the current policy.
03What kind of re-test is required?+
The report must come from an accredited independent laboratory and use HPLC or an equivalent validated analytical method. The complete report must identify the submitted product and provide enough information to compare it with the referenced Origen analysis.
04Is this the same as the damaged-parcel policy?+
No. Damaged, leaking, missing, or incorrect shipments must be reported within 24 hours with photographs. See the complete guarantee and returns policy.
05Can research compounds be returned after dispatch?+
No general return or restocking is available after dispatch because chain of custody and storage can no longer be verified.
