The formula behind it

Concentration (mg/mL) = vial strength (mg) ÷ water added (mL). Injection volume (mL) = target dose (mg) ÷ concentration. Syringe units = injection volume × 100 on a U-100 syringe.

Worked example: a 30 mg vial with 3 mL of water is 10 mg/mL. A 1.5 mg dose is 0.15 mL — 15 units.

Note that the number of doses depends only on the vial strength — water volume changes how much you draw, never how much peptide is in the vial.

Frequently asked questions

How many units is 1 mg of Retatrutide?

At 10 mg/mL (30 mg vial reconstituted with 3 mL), 1 mg is 0.1 mL, which is 10 units on a U-100 insulin syringe.

Does adding more water reduce the strength of each dose?

It reduces the concentration, so the same dose takes a larger volume. The milligrams delivered are unchanged as long as you recalculate the volume.
